MESSAGE OBJECTIVE(S):
1. Understanding the Love displayed by God in the birth of Christ
2. Understanding our response to that love
THINGS TO NOTE:
1. The Bible is about the oldest literature in the world and has remained the No. 1 bestseller of all time.
2. The birth of Christ is the most celebrated event in the earth – celebrated by people of all religions
3. The birth of Christ is literally the greatest manifestation of the Love of God for man (John 3:16)
WHAT NECESSITATED THE ARRIVAL OF CHRIST?
3a. God made man in His Image
3b. Man decided by the action of his will to transgress the law of God
3c. Man decided to align with the enemy of God against God
3d. Man received the consequences of his rebellion – frustration, destruction and eternal damnation
3e. God took the initiative to immediately proffer solution (Gen. 3:15,21)
3f. God went ahead to implement the solution by sending His Son to be born (Gal. 4:4)
WHAT LOVE IS THE BIRTH OF CHRIST EXPRESSING AS FAR AS THE LOVE OF GOD IS CONCERNED?
1. God is eternally interested in the welfare of man
2. God loves man with an everlasting love, a dieless, fadeless love (Jer. 31:3)
You may change your mind about God but God will never change His mind about you
3. God gives His best to manifest His Love for man (John 3:16; Isa. 28:29)
4. God uses the least likely to achieve the most lovely (1 Cor. 1:26-29)
Love drove Jesus to the lowly
5. God sets everything aside that stands in the way of His love plan (Luke 13:11-13)
No law has the right to be respected that disrespects the law of God; no human being has the right
to be respected that disrespects the law of God.
– Any protocol or law anywhere that is fighting the plan of God for your life, today I declare them set aside, nullified and suspended
God will break the law and the protocol if it will disrupt His love plan
6. God will go to any extent for the rescue and salvation of man
No price is too much to pay and no length is too far to go for the rescue of man
7. God places extraordinary content in ordinary containers (2 Cor. 10:10)
God places great content in little packages
Most times the container may not look it but the content is unbelievable
– There are people here today, that God will suddenly manifest!
Father, I receive your grace to be everything you want me to be. Help me lord
8. God’s love knows no impossibility – the things that are impossible with man are possible with God (Luke 1:34-37)
9. In the love plan of God anywhere is good enough as a starting point (Gen. 13:14)
10. God’s love plan may appear slow but it is always sure (Gal. 4:4)
God’s love plan may experience delay but it will never experience defeat
God does not check the time using your clock, He has His own time.
– Even before this year is over, God will make something beautiful to happen!
OUR RESPONSE TO GOD’S LOVE:
1. Respond with wisdom (Luke 2:1-14)
1a. Recognize the supremacy of the Almighty over your life
1b. Decide to interrupt your life’s schedule to pursue what really matters in life
1c. Decide to go all the way with God
2. Respond with worship (Matt. 2:11)
2a. Surrender all pride, achievement and vain glory to the Almighty
2b. Surrender to His direction, influence and principles for living
2c. Open your life’s treasures to Him (Matt. 2:11)
PRAYERS:
Father, thank You for this quality of Word on a Christmas day. Thank You for making me to hear You, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
Father, I apply for the wisdom to respond to Your love and to recognize Your authority in my life, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
Father, I receive the mantle of worship to hand over my life to You and to worship You in a new dimension, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
